LOGIS Internship Opportunities (apply for only one of the following)

 

Application Support Business Intelligence:

  • A data analytics minded individual to work with an agile development team to create datasets and develop visualizations to uncover interesting business trends for our members as well as internal operations.

 

Geographic Information Systems:

  • Assist the team with designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS applications in municipal government environments.  Learn to document new applications and procedures, and distribution of documentation to users of GIS applications.  Providing GIS application support to our membership, Field collection.

 

Public Safety:

  • Join an agile and team focused public safety support and development group.  Gain skill in directly supporting front line workers such as police and fire.  Sharpen your technical and software skills by analyzing issues and research solutions to present to the membership.

 

Finance & Administration:

  • Gain hands on experience across all accounting areas including accounts payables and receivables, bank reconciliations, process customer invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.  Assist the team with new financial enterprise system rollout for membership through testing.

Systems Group Supervisor

LOGIS has an opportunity for a Systems Group Supervisor.  This position is responsible for leading and overseeing a team of IT professionals responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our organization's systems infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic direction, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services to support our business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive innovation and collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of systems engineers and administrators, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and employee development.
  • Set clear objectives and expectations for the team, aligning them with the organization's strategic goals and priorities.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for skills development and advancement.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the design, deployment, and management of systems infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of systems infrastructure, implementing best practices for performance monitoring, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.

Technology Planning and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to develop IT strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives and support growth and innovation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for enhancing systems infrastructure and driving operational efficiency.

Project Management and Execution:

  • Plan, prioritize, and oversee the execution of systems-related projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, allocate resources, and manage dependencies to achieve project objectives.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to systems infrastructure, data security, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven years’ demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • Strong technical expertise in systems infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to servers, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, and networking.
  • Confident, critical and analytical thinker, committed to ongoing process improvement.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, be a self-motivator with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in project management; PM Certification is desirable.
  • Certifications in ITIL and Microsoft are highly desirable.

IT Service Delivery Manager

Position Summary:

LOGIS has an opportunity for a IT Service Delivery Manager.  This position will manage the seamless delivery of high-quality services to our members. Responsibilities include overseeing the Service and Collaboration teams, managing the customer experience, and ensuring the effective delivery of IT services to the membership. The responsibilities also include the implementation of ITIL practices and the continuous improvement of IT Service Management, including process enhancement and automation.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify and monitor service delivery metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • In the absence of the Director of Infrastructure and Shared Services, this position will be responsible for assuming their duties and responsibilities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance service delivery quality.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues related to service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Implement preventive measures to avoid future service disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery processes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate relevant improvements into service delivery strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and the membership to understand their business needs and expectations.
  • Regularly communicate with members to provide updates on service delivery and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
  • Ten years minimum experience in a service delivery management role.
  • Confident, critical thinker, a leader to be a change agent that identifies solutions and look for ways to improve support processes
  • Must possess strong communication skills, be a self-motivator with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and possess excellent customer service skills
  • This position requires travel to customer sites as needed; a current and valid driver’s license and access to an operable vehicle is required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications in project management or ITIL are desirable.

Collaboration Group Supervisor

Position Summary:

LOGIS has an opportunity for a Collaboration Group Supervisor.  This position will lead a team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our Cisco Webex Cloud Calling Managed Service as well as oversee the implementation and integration of Microsoft 365 solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing collaboration tools and technologies to enhance communication, productivity, and teamwork across our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our Cisco Webex Managed Service, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance for our users.
  • Provide escalated technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve complex issues and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Cisco Webex Managed Service solution.
  • Facilitate user group meetings with Managed Service members to review service performance, discuss upcoming enhancements, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Provide strategic roadmap for the Enterprise VoIP communication Managed Service
  • Drive the implementation of M365 solutions for LOGIS and its members including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and other related applications.
  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to enhance collaboration capabilities, aligning with LOGIS and member organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
  • Seven years minimum experience in managing communication systems and services, preferably in a managed service provider (MSP) environment
  • Confident, critical and analytical thinker, committed to continuous process improvement
  • Must possess strong communication skills, be a self-motivator with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and possess excellent customer service skills
  • This position requires travel to customer sites as needed; a current and valid driver’s license and access to an operable vehicle is required
